7. Nomination and Election of Officers and Ordinary Executive Committee Members.
   The following Positions will be elected:
   1. Chair
   2. Two Vice Chairs (Communications/Campaigns)
   3. Secretary
   4. Treasurer
   5. Membership Officer
   6. Four Ordinary Committee Members
   7. One National/Regional Representative from each region in England, from the national parties in Scotland and Wales.
       
8. Nominations with proposers and seconders must be proposed in writing (or digitally) and sent to the Returning Officer, and will close after the Reports from the Officers (Item 4)
   
   Nominations, as well as confirmation of willingness to propose or second those nominations, should be sent to the Returning Office, Mark Valladares, via email (markv233@aol.com) or by post (LDEG Returning Officer, 43 Turret Lane, Ipswich IP4 1DT). He will acknowledge all communications as quickly as he can and confirm valid nominations.
   
   In the event of contested elections, a ballot of members will take place, with candidates able to supply a manifesto (A5, single-sided). Unfortunately, in accordance with the normal internal Party rules, membership lists cannot be provided, but candidates are permitted to reach out to voters using social media and email to whatever contacts they might have.
   
   Please note that all formal LDEG communication channels are excluded for the purposes of member contact.
